- On 10.5 and later files on HFS+ volumes can be externally renamed again.
- Some systems send rename events even if file is not renamed externaly. Handling this correctly now.
Version 2.1.1 - December 8th, 2009 - Home, Express and Pro
iStopMotion 2.1.1 fixes a few issues discovered in 2.1 and also improves details in French and Japanese localizations. This update is free and strongly recommended for all iStopMotion 2.x users of the Home, Express and Pro versions.
- Some still cameras (like Nikon D60) would deliver wrong images in preview.
- Several small improvements to German, French and Japanese localization. The ReadMe included on the disk image is now also localized in Japanese.
- Work around crashing issues with rotoscope and background movies.
- Background and foreground movies would sometimes not get updated on screen properly.
- Still Camera test results can once again be submitted.
- Several fixes, lots of them for improved Snow Leopard compatibility.
Version 2.1 - October 29th, 2009 - Home, Express and Pro
iStopMotion 2.1 is the first Boinx Software product to provide a full Japanese localization! Apart from that it features all new markers and provides bugfixes improving support for Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and fixing user reported issues. This update is free and strongly recommended for all iStopMotion 2.x users of the Home, Express and Pro versions.
- Full Japanese localization included.
- Markers. Markers are a convenient way to structure your timeline and to aid your animation, e.g. in timing motion. Give us feebdack how you like the current feature, so we can adopt it even better to your needs.
- A marker is defined by a starting and an ending frame. Each marker has it's own name, color and description.
- Create a new marker either via Movie > Marker > Add… or via context menu on the time ruler in the timeline.
- Markers can be moved in the timeline by dragging them. Drag the small handles at start or end to just adjust that edge. Double click a marker bar to edit that marker.
- Hovering over a marker will show it's descriptions in a help tag.
- Support for long file names including no-latin characters on Mac OS X Leopard and later when working on modern file systems. This excludes FAT-32 formatted USB sticks.
- Your "Hide Extension" choice in the "Save As" dialog is now honoured.
- Several fixes, lots of them for improved Snow Leopard compatibility.
- Lots of fixes and improvements to the underlying frameworks.
